JUNIOR MODEL/ACTOR ~ £195

Booking INFormATION

Thank you for choosing me as your trusted photographer to capture your portfolio updates.

A model/actor portfolio session lasts anything up to an hour, where I take various different images that bring out the best in you for the purpose of promoting you to agencies and clients.  I have many years experience in creating the very best head shots to represent you in the industry.  Your outfit choice and styling is very important in these sessions, so I therefore ask you to take a look at previous sessions here for an idea of clothing choices and inspiration. A clothing brief is also detailed below to help guide you.

During your time in the studio, I offer you the opportunity to have several outfit changes, as I believe this really helps to capture you in various different looks.  These images will be completely natural and timeless, so not only are they great for providing your agency with images that stand out from the crowd, but they also allow you the chance to savour them and be proud to hang on your walls at home.

Clothing Brief

Female

Solid, Neutral Colours
- Bring tops in colours: navy, grey, and soft earth tones (olive, tan, beige). These keep the focus on your face, which is crucial for headshots.
- Avoid busy patterns, bright or neon colours, as these can be distracting in close-up shots.

Layered Options
- Light cardigans, structured blazers, or simple jackets in neutral shades add depth to your look.
- Blazers are great for adding a professional, confident vibe, but keep the structure subtle—nothing too padded or oversized.

Simple Necklines
- Bring tops with a mix of necklines, such as crew neck, scoop neck, off the shoulder and V-neck. These variations help capture different facets of your personality and suit different angles.
- Avoid plunging necklines

Fitted, Not Tight
- Choose clothing that fits well but isn’t too tight, as this maintains a polished look without being distracting.
- Avoid anything too loose or baggy, as it can make the images look less sharp and defined.

Minimal Accessories
- Keep jewellery simple or leave it out. If you’d like to bring options, consider small, subtle earrings or a delicate necklace, as long as they don’t draw attention away from your face.

Textures and Fabrics
- Soft knits, cottons, and other matte fabrics work best for headshots, as they photograph cleanly without adding unwanted shine or glare.
- Avoid shiny fabrics (e.g., satin or metallics) as they can reflect light unpredictably.

If make-up is to be worn and hair requires styling, please can this be done prior to arrival, so that time shooting in the studio is not impacted. PLEASE DO NOT FAKE TAN, often this results in patchy skin tones which is extremely time consuming to edit.

If it's wet and windy when you travel/arrive, I have power for straighteners/hair dryers etc. However we need to be mindful that we don't eat into too much of the session time.

Men

1. Solid, Neutral Colours
- Bring shirts and tops in neutral colors like navy and muted earth tones (olive, tan). These colors keep the focus on your face, which is key for headshots.
- Avoid bright colours, neon shades, and busy patterns, as these can detract from a clean, professional look.

2. Layered Options
- Consider bringing light sweaters, simple jackets, or structured blazers in neutral shades. Layers add dimension and can create different moods for various roles.

3. Varied Necklines
- Pack a few shirts with different necklines, such as crew neck, V-neck, and button-down. This will allow us to capture various aspects of your style and personality.
- Avoid deep V-necks or high collars that could draw attention away from your face.

4. Fitted, Not Tight
- Choose clothing that fits well but isn’t overly tight, allowing for a sleek, defined look that’s also comfortable.
- Avoid anything too loose or oversized, as it can look less polished on camera.

5. Minimal Accessories
- Keep accessories to a minimum. Watches or rings are fine, but avoid anything flashy or large that might take attention away from your expression.

6. Textures and Fabrics
- Soft, matte fabrics like cotton or lightweight wool are ideal, as they avoid unwanted shine and look clean on camera.
- Stay away from shiny or reflective fabrics, such as satin or metallics, as they can interfere with lighting.

If you would like to dry shave half way through you can, headshots are all about representing you in as many different ways as possible, to open up different casting brackets.
